This was a fun regatta arranged to give the classic fleet a warm up before the Auckland Classic IOM Champs on Matariki weekend in June. Pegasus Radio Sailing Club (PRSC) hosted 16 competitors in this event. All regions in the South Island were represented with sailors from Otago, Cromwell, Nelson and Pegasus clubs attending. Friday was a shocker – rain, sometimes heavy, and a strong Northerly wind. Practise sailing wasn’t popular! Bill Bradley was at the club however, despite the conditions, to complete the weigh in and registration process for 20 keen competitors.
