Congratulations to the Tauranga Radio Sailing Club for organising a very successful event, and a big thank you to all who assisted with the running of the event during the four days. A steady stream of yachts to register, weigh and measure kept the team busy most of the day. Competitors from as far as Brazil. Tank test for those that failed the dry test and finally a chance to test the waters.
The second half. After lunch the wind finally returned, 180 degrees from where it was this morning. Competitors were eager, too eager at times and many restarts were on the cards. No one was exempt from the starters’ watchful eye. The breeze was enjoyable and close mark roundings, downhill slides and upwind beats marked the afternoon.
