Either the weather gods or Geoff were smiling on the NSRYS when the Geoff Smale Memorial regatta was sailed on Wednesday at the quarry. The second half. After lunch the wind finally returned, 180 degrees from where it was this morning. Competitors were eager, too eager at times and many restarts were on the cards. No one was exempt from the starters’ watchful eye. The breeze was enjoyable and close mark roundings, downhill slides and upwind beats marked the afternoon.
