The second half. After lunch the wind finally returned, 180 degrees from where it was this morning. Competitors were eager, too eager at times and many restarts were on the cards. No one was exempt from the starters’ watchful eye. The breeze was enjoyable and close mark roundings, downhill slides and upwind beats marked the afternoon.

The results of the 2023 Top of The South IOM Regional Regatta sailed in Nelson on the 14 – 15 October.
Aaron Taunt reports that he has won the Thailand Open National Championships. He will be at the New Zealand IOM championships being run by his home club, Tauranga Radio Sailing Club but expects to be put in his place by the more experienced world class sailors in New Zealand.
