Congratulations to Mike Calkoen from Kapiti for winning the 2022 DF95 Auckland Champs, from Phil Pryde (NMMS) and Karl Stachel (GHRYC).
Rod McKenzie from Waiheke won the Silver Fleet. (although compatriots Brett Thom and Paul Gillard made the Gold fleet).
The day started late (after lunch) and very light, building from the SW throughout the remaining hours left for racing, then dying again at the close.There was time for 6 qualifying races (2 heats/race), and one Finals race each once split into Gold and Silver Fleets..
A good sized team came from overseas (Waiheke Island) to join the established DF95 fleets from Wattle Farm and Gulf Harbour, and the informal teams competition was won by Wattle Farm (NMMS).
Sailors from Kapiti enjoyed great success, with Mike Calkoen also taking Top Dragon (best combined DF65/DF95 score from the weekend).
