Sail Making Block

I’d like to ask a put a question to the members if I may, regarding any known URL’s for making a block for broad seaming IOM sail.

Found some limited info on the net for how to use but the block but not entirely useful for actually making a block – in a (YouTube type) video.

Sail- Block

Mark Mason’s UltraSmooth Vacuum formed ABS Sail Making Block Spec: 29″ x 6.25″ x 3″(737mm x 159mm x 76mm) ABS Weight: 13.9 oz. (395g) unfinished Weight: 13.9 oz. (395g) Painted Weight: 39 oz. (1100g) Finished with base

This vacuum formed ABS sail Block is the creation of another California Sail-making Legend, Mark Mason. The Block is fabricated from the original mason plug. This block is constructed in 1mm ABS and comes in three options: 1. Unfinished ABS (Its up to you to paint and mount the block to a wooden base acquired locally) 2. Painted and Polished enamel (you mount the block to a wooden base acquired locally) 3. Complete painted, polished and mounted on a wooden base. This Block is ready to go but you pay for the shipping weight of the base. This block represents the best of our sport as knowledge and skills are passed along from generation to generation. On some level this sail block is a part of AMYA history. Many RC sail makers swear by this block.
