News Item / Regatta Reports / …

We always like to post current new items relevant to radio sailing in New Zealand. However, the volunteers who run the site are not able to follow all the possible news sites so we are reliant on you our members to feed information to us. This includes reports about regattas.

Writing a report on a regatta or even a club even can be a good way of encouraging others to participate in your events. If you see it as simply an obligation for NZRYA events then you miss the advantage of promoting your regattas.

If you are planning a regatta consider writing a brief promotional post about the regatta. We do try to notify when Notice of Races and Sailing Instructions are released but we do not know how good your sailing location is or what other activities might attract people to your event.

To help you we have published guidelines for what we might need to create a news item or post. These are linked to at the top of the news page on the site but this link (https://nzrya.org.nz/post-requirements/) will get you to these guidelines. They simply reflect what we are able to quickly handle.

Please send possible news items and posts to the publicity officer.
